Nomad Foundation Inc is the responsible entity for Kindred Waypoints on Android. This policy covers version 1.0.0 of the installed app and is effective August 4, 2026. It does not describe the independent privacy practices of an app store, device maker, operating-system provider, or website host.
The fieldbook contains general educational material intended primarily for adults, facilitators, volunteers, caregivers, and community participants. It is not designed as a child-directed service. If a child happens to view or use it, a parent, legal guardian, or other authorized adult should select the setting, supervise the activity, and apply relevant safeguarding procedures.
Kindred Waypoints is an offline field atlas with forty-six preset educational cards about observation, respectful listening, stewardship, small acts, gathering preparation, and reflection. It also includes a preset decision compass, readiness checklist, safety gate, source shelf, About page, and Privacy Center. It does not provide grants, donations, enrollment, volunteer placement, emergency response, professional advice, or an official program application.
The app does not collect or transmit personal data to Nomad Foundation Inc or a developer server. It has no Internet permission and contains no registration, contact form, upload, cloud synchronization, location capture, camera, microphone, messaging, or free-text field. Built-in images and educational text are packaged with the app.
If a user chooses, the app stores only preset identifiers for saved waypoint cards, walked markers, compass selections, and readiness checklist items in Android private app storage. These identifiers describe app content choices, not a name, account, address, story, location, or participant profile. The app works without saving any optional marker.
The app is intentionally not a recordkeeping system. It has no field for names, contact details, precise locations, youth profiles, attendance, incidents, health information, diagnoses, disability details, family circumstances, financial or legal information, safeguarding reports, or personal narratives. Users should not place sensitive information in screenshots, external notes, or other apps while using the fieldbook.
Kindred Waypoints requests no Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, notification, storage, Bluetooth, activity-recognition, advertising, or other dangerous Android permission. Android may expose operating-system functions such as uninstalling, clearing storage, or taking a screenshot; those functions are controlled by the device and are not data collection by this app.
The app has no account, username, password, profile, sign-in, membership status, or remote identity. Account deletion therefore does not apply. Users can delete all optional local choices through the in-app reset control, Android clear-storage controls, or uninstalling the app.
The app contains no advertising, analytics, telemetry, attribution, crash-reporting, social-media, behavioral profiling, remote-configuration, or tracking SDK. It does not create an advertising identifier profile, measure engagement for the publisher, or use data for cross-app or cross-site tracking.
Because the app does not transmit app-use or personal data to the publisher, it does not sell, rent, disclose, or share such data with advertisers, data brokers, analytics vendors, service providers, affiliates, or other third parties. A device platform may independently process store, device, diagnostic, or backup information under its own terms.
The Android app does not open web links, send email, submit a support request, export a report, or connect to a network service. Source names are displayed as offline text for transparency. The separate public support website may be visited in a browser outside the app and is governed by the browser and hosting provider as well as the site's own technical behavior.
Optional preset identifiers remain in private app storage until the user resets them, clears the app's storage, or uninstalls the app. Nomad Foundation Inc does not receive those identifiers and therefore has no server-side app record to retain. Built-in images, text, and policy content remain part of the installed package.
The Index includes a reset control that removes all optional saved markers while leaving built-in content available. Android clear-storage and uninstall controls also remove local app data. Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for Kindred Waypoints data, so optional markers are not intended to follow the user to another device.
Privacy protections include offline operation, no Internet permission, no third-party tracking SDK, private Android app storage, no free-text field, and disabled backup and device transfer. No device is perfectly secure. Someone with access to an unlocked device may view the app or its local markers, and operating-system screenshots or device compromise are outside the app's control.
The app does not create youth accounts, youth profiles, attendance records, precise-location histories, direct messaging, public posts, follower systems, or adult-to-child contact. An authorized adult should supervise any child-involved use and follow applicable organizational and local safeguarding procedures. The app cannot report a concern, verify a supervisor, or contact emergency services.
Waypoint prompts are general preparation material and do not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial, accessibility, emergency, crisis, safeguarding, or other professional advice. They do not certify a place, activity, person, or organization as safe or accessible. For immediate danger, stop the activity, move to a safer place when possible, and contact appropriate local emergency services or a trusted responsible adult.
A future release may update this policy if app behavior changes. A material change will be reflected in the in-app policy and the public policy with a revised effective date before the changed behavior is represented. Users may decline to save optional markers, reset them at any time, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.
